Ariana Grande enjoyed a reunion with boyfriend Ethan Slater at the star-studded National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala in New York on Tuesday.

The Wicked star, 31, cozied up to her other half, 32, in a rare public appearance, a month after his ex-wife Lilly Jay, 32, broke her silence on their split.

Ariana and Ethan enjoyed a date night at the awards bash, after she recently attended the 2025 Golden Globes without him.

Inside the gala the couple were seen exchanging a warm embrace before making their way to their table.

Ariana showed off her slim figure in a stunning baby pink Loewe backless gown. Sparkling around her neck was a spectacular diamond necklace.

Ariana and her other Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo, received the NBR Spotlight Award at the event, while Wicked got the Best Film award. The film’s director, Jon M. Chu also won for Best Director.

She completed the outfit with white shoes and wore her brunette tresses in a ponytail.

Meanwhile Ethan looked dapper in a grey suit and a white shirt, opting to go without a tie for the occasion.

The pair’s appearance comes a month after Slater’s ex-wife Lilly – with whom he shares a two-year-old son – broke her silence on his romance with his Wicked co-star.

In the essay published for The Cut, Jay also emotionally opened up about their divorce and the ‘public downfall of her marriage.’

She penned about moving both herself and her then two-month-old baby boy to London while Slater filmed Wicked – before he left her for Grande after they met on set of the movie.

Lilly further reflected on how she never expected to get a divorce after tying the knot with her high school sweetheart – but emphasized both she and her ex focus to positively co-parent their son.

Both she and Slater had been married for five years and welcomed their baby boy to the world in August 2022. However, the divorce was finalized three months earlier in September.

Grande was also previously married to Dalton Gomez for two years until their divorce was finalized in March of this year.

‘I confidently moved to another country with my 2-month-old baby and my husband to support his career. Consumed by the magic and mundanity of new motherhood, I didn’t understand the growing distance between us,’ Jay wrote.

She expressed there are ‘days when I can’t escape the promotion of a movie associated with the saddest days of my life are darker’ as she while trying to ‘accept the sudden public downfall of my marriage.’

‘No-one gets married thinking they’ll get divorced, in the same way we don’t board a plane expecting to crash.’

Lilly then seemingly referenced to Ethan and Ariana with, ‘I really never thought I would get divorced.’

‘Especially not just after giving birth to my first child and especially not in the shadow of my husband’s new relationship with a celebrity.’

‘In this season of shock and mourning, over a year after the end of my marriage was made public, I deeply miss the life of invisibility I created for myself as a psychologist specializing in women’s mental health.’

Also present at the gala on Tuesday was Ariana’s Wicked co-star Cynthia, 37. She also wore a Loewe gown with a unique design.

Meanwhile Nicole Kidman, 57, wowed in a floor-length black gown. Nicole received the Best Actress award for her steamy role in Babygirl.

Her blonde tresses were styled into a side ponytail, and she accessorized with sparkling drop earrings.

A Complete Unknown star Elle Fanning, 26, stunned in a pastel blue, pink and yellow gown, which she paired with a light pink fur shawl.

She received the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the Bob Dylan biopic, where she stars alongside Timothée Chalamet.

Wicked star Michelle Yeoh, 62, showed off her toned arms in a sleeveless black dress.

Liev Schreiber, 57, looked dapper in a grey suit and was joined by wife Taylor Neisen.

Succession star Kieran Culkin, 42, sported a burgundy suit with a baby blue sweater underneath.

Jesse Eisenberg, 41, looked sharp in a black suit.

Christine Baranski, 72, was stylish in a black pantsuit.

Mikey Madison, 25, made a striking appearance in a black gown.

Iconic actress Isabella Rossellini, 72, stunned in a black lace ensemble with pearls.

June Squibb, 95, sported a shimmering white top and black pants.

Marianne Jean-Baptiste, 57, looked glowing in a black gown.

Also present at the event was director Sofia Coppola.

The National Board of Review (NBR) Awards are annual film awards given out by the National Board of Review.

They cover a range of categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Animated Feature, and more.
