“I always hope that our main purpose is to put out a  good  film. Yun naman ang purpose nating lahat bukod sa project na ito, it’s about the entirety of the film industry here in the Philippines.

After doing several television projects with David which has led to the popularity of their love team called “BarDa,” Barbie admitted there is also pressure to maintaining their onscreen pairing.

“Yung pressure is to maintain yung love team, yung lakas ng love team kasi simula pa lang, unexpected yung team namin. We are both under Sparkle kaya na-ga-guide kami ng maayos as a love team,” she explained.

During the grand presscon for That Kind of Love, Barbie candidly shared how she feels about being likened or compared to kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo.

“Hindi ko alam paano sasagutin yan kasi aaminin ko, isa si Kathryn na ni-lu-look up to ko sa showbiz kasi she really handles her personal (life) and career really well. And so to be acknowledged or to be noticed na kahit papaano parehas, it’s a honor for me. Sana magka trabaho kaming dalawa. Isa siya sa mga gusto kong makatrabaho at ina-admire kong actors of our generation,” she admitted.

During the event, Barbie also shared how challenging it was for her to adjust from acting in teleseryes to acting for the big screen.

“Magkaiba talaga. We do it multiple times na dapat same yung energy at level of emotions. So challenging if mahaba ang dialogue at marami times mo siyang kailangan ulitin.

“In movie acting, I learned na liitan ang acting kasi this will be shown in the big screen. Konti galaw mo kitang kita agad, so dapat subtle lang yung approach. Nakakapagod rin pala kahit rom-com kasi ang hirap na same yung eksena pero kailangan kiligin ka dun sa same na sa eksena. Dapat same level of kilig, dapat walang maiba. ” she added.
