Liza attended the Hollywood premiere of Lisa Frankenstein on Monday, February 5 (US time).

“What a special night the Lisa Frankenstein premiere was! I’m so incredibly honored to be around amazing talent and even better human beings! I’m so proud of this wonderfully bonkers film we made that was born out of love for horror/comedy and a passion for story telling,” Liza posted on social media following the event.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News at the Hollywood premiere, Liza remarked that she had an amazing experience shooting the film.

“I really enjoyed the process of making the film and I’m really just grateful that everybody appreciates that,” she remarked.

The actress also shared how film director Zelda Williams got to convince her to do the project.

“Ang nangyari, we were at dinner and sabi niya sa ‘kin kaka-greenlight lang ng project ‘Lisa Frankenstein at binaggit n’ya na merong isang character na hindi pa naka-cast. So sabi n’ya, ‘Try mo kaya mag-audition.’ Tapos ako parang ang reaction ko kasi first time pa lang naming mag-meet so parang, ‘Talaga? Ako? Bakit, anong ginawa ko?’” she recalled.

“That’s what came to mind. But she was like, ‘Even before meeting you, I’ve seen your filmography and I’ve seen your capabilities and I really think that you would fit the role perfectly.’ And so eventually I auditioned for it and I’m so lucky that I got it,” Liza added.
