The award-winning actress, who was asked in a recent interview about her reaction to the breakup of the power couple, acknowledged how long the relationship between Kathryn and Daniel had been.

Kathryn and Daniel were together for 11 years before calling it quits, leaving fans in the Philippines and overseas feeling sad.

Nadine admitted that she wasn’t close to Kathryn and Daniel, so she said she couldn’t say much about their breakup.

“I can’t really say so much about them because I’m not super close with them. I don’t think I’m able to comment [on] anything. Pero antagal din ng 11 years,” she said.

The 30-year-old star added that she feels grateful that she didn’t have to experience being forced by the management to reconcile and fix her relationship with her former onscreen and real partner, James Reid.

Nadine shared her thoughts about the changing landscape of Philippine show business when it comes to how onscreen partners are being treated, especially when it comes to their personal lives.

“I think that’s how it should be naman, that’s how it should be but I understand din naman why sometimes the management would kind of force it for business reasons,” she said.

“But I’m happy because now the showbiz industry is changing––it’s not the same as before na pag love team kayo, dapat kayo. Ngayon, everyone is more understanding and everyone is more professional and I think it should be like that,” she added.

Meanwhile, she expressed her gratitude to fans of the JaDine tandem who supported her when she found a new boyfriend after her breakup with James.

“I’m very lucky ’cause there are fans who I guess were understanding of that even when I started dating ulit. There were fans that were very supportive. I mean I understood that there were fans na heartbroken which is totally understandable because they were with you that whole journey eh so even if they don’t know you personally parang nakakasad din naman––ganun talaga,” she remarked.
