Heart Evangelista and her husband, senator Chiz Escudero, renewed their vows to one another earlier this week at the Balesin Island Club in Quezon Province.

The renewal of their commitment to each other was attended by several of their close friends and family.

Heart and Chiz’s renewal marks a new era for them as the actress’s mother was present this time around to witness the ceremony.

Heart was seen wearing a custom Elie Saab couture gown for the momentous event. The gown was something that the actress personally chose as she fell in love with the beads and colors of the gown.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, Heart explained more why the Elie Saab custom was her choice.

“Elie Saab has a special place in my heart—it was actually one of the first shows I ever attended in fashion week. I’ve always loved their dreamy and romantic creations, and when I saw the custom couture dress, I knew that was it,” she shared with Harper’s Bazaar.

Meanwhile, netizens showed their support for the couple in the comment section. Celebrities such as Dimples Romana, Isabel Oli, and Sam Bernardo, among others sent their well wishes to couple as well.

Previously, Heart expressed her readiness to become a mother. She miscarried twins back in 2018.

“Because I used to question myself a lot before why I couldn’t and it’s so hard when you question yourself and you say things, but when I look back on my life, even the people and the experiences I’ve had, all the hardships of being alone, it all makes sense now. And I feel like, if there is any moment where I should be blessed, it should be now. Because I feel like I’m ready as a person and I would be able to give more because I’ll be able to tell her more and share more wisdom. I don’t pray for it but I pray for God’s work because I’m at peace with that. Time starts again,” she shared.

Heart and Chiz previously tied the knot in 2015 at the same location.
